Welcome to IRITS
Introducing the
IRITS-LIFT
The IRITS-LIFT is designed to allow interior firefighters to immediately rescue fire fighters that have fallen through a floor or roof.
The IRITS-LIFT is made of 6mm or 7.5mm Aramid rope. Aramid rope has a working temperature of 285 to 330 degrees Celsius and a melting point of 585 degrees Celsius. and a Breaking strength of 1280kg(2820lbs). The 7.5mm is NFPA 2500 and UL certified.
IMMEDIATELY RESCUE FIRE FIGHTERS
This device gives the interior crew a chance of rescuing the firefighter that has fallen through a roof or floor with minimal lost time. It is small enough to fit in your pocket so the interior crew can perform the rescue without bringing bulky outside equipment in. Please note that the RIT team should still be activated and department RIT procedures should still be followed.

During fire fighter operations, electrical wires and other obstructions can be present that can get caught on the tank or harness of fire fighters, trapping them and causing potentially fatal situations. The Entanglement Prevention System For Breathing Apparatus prevents the entanglement of equipment with exposed building elements.
The flexible straps and the semi-flexible loops help deflect the wires. This greatly reduces the time for extrication with the reduction of points where wires can be caught. The SCBA wire entanglement preventer does not interfere with current methods of changing SCBA bottles or other safety devices. It prevents entanglement by attaching to the backplate and to the shoulder straps of the SCBA. This combined with the flexible self-rescue ring prevents wires from sliding between the backplate and the SCBA bottle. At the bottom of the SCBA the wire entanglement preventer extends around the valve assembly which decreases the chances of wires getting entangled in the valve assembly and first stage regulator but still allows access to turn the bottle on and off and bottle removal. It is safe, easy to use, and helps prevent snags and entrapments dangerous to the life of a firefighter.
Small enough to fit in your pocket.
Sewn loops for added strength and reduced catchpoints during rescue operations.
For a unconscious firefighter the loop on the bottom can be attached to either the IRITS-WEP system or other methods of your department to extricate the downed firefighter.
There are eight 9” loops spaced 22” apart to allow easier lifting of the firefighter being rescued.
Sewn loops for added strength and reduced catchpoints during rescue operations.
EASY DEPLOYMENT
Rescue from diverse situations: rescues can become easier and safer using the IRITS-LIFT.
Coming soon the
IRITS-WEP
(WIRE ENTAGELMANT PREVENTION SYSTEM)
The IRITS-WEP is designed to prevent wire entanglement, one of the biggest hazards firefighters face in rescue operations.
STOPS WIRE ENTANGLEMENT
Prevents firefighters from getting trapped. Helps avoid dangerous snags on wires, cables, and debris in high-risk environments.

Lightweight, easy to put on and take off.
The flexible straps help deflect the wires. They reduce the time for extrication and points where wires can be caught.
EQUIPPED WITH RESCUE RING
Rescue from diverse situations: rescues can become easier and safer using the IRITS-WEP.

THE SELF RESCUE RING CAN BE USED A NUMBER OF WAYS:
Can be used as a handle on a downed fire fighter to drag them to safety.
Allows a guide rope to be attached so a downed firefighter can be found during a mayday.
Can attach rope to a firefighter who fell through the floor (Nance Drill).
The rated semi-flexible self-rescue loops on the top makes it easy for other rescue devices to be easily attached without interference.
WORKS SEAMLESSLY WITH SCBA SYSTEM
The IRITS-WEP still allows easy access for bottle removal and does not interfere with rapid intervention rescue harness US20070192926A1
Why Choose the IRITS-WEP?
Saves Lives
Increases Speed
Reliable in any Situation
Created by a firefighter, for firefighters.
